Do you journal? As far as writing every day about my day I haven’t done that in a long time. I use to. In fact I find great humor reading my Jr. High school journal. I got out of the habit of this kind of journaling when I went through my health struggles. I just hated writing negative stuff so I just stopped.
But just because I don’t do traditional journaling doesn’t mean I don’t like to have a journal around. In fact, I have several journals. I keep a journal full of great quotes I hear. A journal for my soap recipes and one for quilt ideas. I have a journal I write thoughts and impressions in as I read scriptures or other great books. I like my journals to be fun and cute so I like to make covers for them. This little tree covered journal is my latest. Would you like to make a fun journal cover? I have a tutorial here. You can see more of my journal covers here, here and here. Just in case you are looking for some ideas to get you started.
I do journal. I keep a small daily diary of sorts, plus I keep a desk calendar in my sewing room and record what I am working on that day and then of course I have my blog which is really just a journal of my quilting. Thanks a million for the tutorial!
I have several journals. I have a holiday journal, a stitching journal and a Gratitude journal. I do not write in them every day but I enjoy them just the same.
i keep a gratitude journal…keeps good things in my life at the forefront all day…
to me my blog is my journal – when I was a kid I had "diary's" when I got older I had "journals" and then blogging came and I love it!
I am not into journals, but I love making covers for them.
I guess you could say my blog is my journal, of quilty things. My soon-to-be 8 year old granddaughter, when asked what she wanted for her birthday, chose a faux-fur covered diary/journal because she had already filled all the pages in her first one! I'd love to be able to see that someday.
