I knew that theblock I created for Moda Bake Shop’s At the Sea Shore Sew Along may have stretched people a little. I knew that may turn a few quilters off. I’m pleased that so many quilters followed Luke Danes, of Gilmore Girls advice, “You just gotta jump in and be scared and stick with it until it gets fun.”
The quilt above is a result of this action. I was asked to participate in a double wedding ring challenge. This scared me to death, all that curved piecing. I was told I could do something small. So I agreed to the challenge and figured I would just do a table runner. I started the process. I found it wasn’t as hard as I thought. In fact it was quite fun. Before I knew it my table runner was a queen size quilt.
So kudos to all those that gave it a go! I hope you found it fun once you got used to the method.
emily, it is beautiful.
The grey makes it modern and radiant. Gorgeous! I, too, have learned that many unknowns turn out to be fun. Good for you!
I agree and your Wedding Ring turned out beautifully.
I am working up my courage to make a double wedding ring quilt. Almost there! Yours is beautiful!
