I’ve continued my wedge play this week. As I continue my love affair with my random strips bin. This bin is a bit like Mary Poppins’s bag. Scrappy Log was pulled from this bin, along with Change for a Jelly Roll.
I’m still working on a name for this one. The shape the wedges make remind me of lava lamps. They also remind me of beads. I feel the quilt has a hippie/bohemian vibe. So maybe the name should have something to do with that.
I’m thinking of doing some big stitch in the background area. I think it will add a nice dimension to the quilt.
The hand work should give me time to figure out the right name.
This is such a fun scrap quilt! This quilt also reminds me of beads — specifically the paper beads that I used to make from magazines as a kid!
Love this and on my do list. Reminds me of the beaded doorways in the hippie era.Fun!
It's a groovy quilt!
Great scrap quilt!!
Kite runner. Beautiful.
What a wonderful way to use up your scraps. They really shine on the neutral brown background.
You have been very creative with your scraps! Also, you have a bottomless scrap bin! This design does look like beads and lava lamps, but it also looks like "bumper to bumper" canoes to me.
its a beauty! how about bohemian rhapsody?
Boho diamonds
It reminds me of lava lamps too, and of those clubs that jugglers use.
Oh that looks really cool. Neat design.
Looks really great and I LOVE the names, both of them! Perfect for the quilt.
