I’ve been blessed with a wonderful mother who taught me to create. It is very important to her. She taught me to sew, cook, garden. She even tried to teach me to paint. That was not so successful. Every year she helped us to create something to enter in the fair. It was so rewarding when we won ribbons. My first sewing machine came from my mom winning at the state fair. I don’t enter things in the fair anymore. But I do love to create.
This little quilt in progress was inspired by my mother’s desire to help her children develop their talents and the talk, Happiness, Your Heritage, by Dieter F. Uctdorf. If you’ve been on the blog recently you know that. I’ve added background and people to my quilt. I’m hoping to quilt words of things people create to finish it off. I’m thinking; art, hope, love, friendship, quilts, cake, homes, bridges, buildings, engines, art, music etc. If you have more ideas I’d love it if you shared them in the comments. Thanks!
Family, stories, flowers, herbs, if I think of more, I'll send
