Do you have a layer cake laying around? Or a bunch of leftovers from ones previously used? Would you like to find a home for them? Have I got a quick and easy solution for you. Mountain Blossoms is a quick and easy play on the disappearing nine patch.
I used a Mountain Bloom layer cake. By putting the blocks on point I was able to create a 68 1/2″ x 77 1/2″ quilt.
But you can play with that to make the size you want.
That is really nice. It is such a great size too.
Very pretty! Sounds easy, too. Thanks for sharing…

Lovely. Fun idea and a delightful way to brighten someone's day!
What an awesome quilt! There is so much joy I this one! And it's on Moda bake shop – hurray!
What a beautiful finish,
congratulations.

It just so happens that I do have a layer cake and wondered how to use it. Rue Indienne. Your quilt and pattern are terrific Em!
PS- Congratulations on your Bakeshop pattern!
Thank you so much for this pattern. I enjoy making nine patch blocks and have done a couple of quilts using this idea of the Disappearing Nine Patch Block. I had not thought of this layout. Another great idea.
