While waiting for more background fabric to arrive I’ve been making these log cabin blocks. I love log cabin blocks. I made my first quilt using them. I think they are my go to whenever I have random scrappy strips.
And I had a few scrappy strips from this scrappy pull inspired by this little scrap. Out of small and simple things proceedeth that which is great, or at least larger than it’s parts.
Not only am I getting the log cabin quilt. I also had enough for the newest rendition of Mountain Retreat. Which the background finally came for. Making it possible to finish this top.
Also just a little FYI. Did you know Craftsy is having a 12 Days of Craftsy with a different gift each day. Make sure you check it out. There may be something you or someone on your Christmas list may need. Also Accuquilt currently has $50 rebate on Go Big Cutters. Just in case you’ve been really good and Santa owes you.
Now I’d love to see what you’ve been working on. Share if you can. I know it’s Christmas time and many of us have secrets. Maybe a sneak peek will do.
Out of small things proceedeth . . . great quote! And, yes, scrappy slab blocks are nifty units to have on hand.
I love your color palette, and the inspiration for it!
