Back in 2013 I made my first It Takes a Village quilt. I gave it to my friend, Amy, the mother of eight beautiful children. The quilt resides on her daughter’s wall. From time to time I borrow it when I do trunk shows or teach a class. Well, I recently borrowed but it looks like I’ll need it longer than I thought. Not feeling good about keeping it that long. I decided to make another. First I made a little family.
Then dove into my bits bin and got busy making a village.
Finally I combined the two. As soon as I get it quilted and bond I will exchange this one for the one on display at a local quilt shop and return the original to it’s rightful owner.
Now it’s your turn to share you sewing room progress. Link up and show us what you’ve been moving forward.

What a fun quilt!
That is so cute. What a fun and creative quilt.
I just love your little people. The house add such whimsy to them.
What a sweet quilt! Adorable!
Cute little family … love that they're holding hands.
Yes, great plan to have them holding hands. I'm glad you're making a new one as I'm sure the daughter loves hers on the wall.
I love your story that goes with your quilt. I love your quilt too!
The people addition is super cute.:)
