Moving It Forward

I finished all the blocks in my scrappy quarter log cabin quilt. I auditioned several fabrics for the setting triangles. I thought I would use a solid. But I couldn’t find one that I liked. Luckily I found a great blue plaid that worked perfectly in my stash.

I’ll be doing a tutorial for this tomorrow. Didn’t quite get it done for today. So come back tomorrow to learn how to make your own. I was also able to update my website. Take a minute to check it out and let me know what you think. Also don’t forget  link up and share what you’ve been moving forward.

I've been liking your quarter square long cabin blocks for a while now. I think it's the combo of black in the center and the selection of colors that follow. But oh dear, please don't show me how to make it! That will make it FAR too easy to start one of my own!!! (And I love the plaid setting triangles – perfect!)

I have been enjoying your quarter square log cabin blocks and was wondering what you would pick for setting fabric. I was taken by surprise by the fabric you chose–it was completely unexpected, but fantastic!

I made many of these years ago but like this new version with irregular log widths. So much fun and so useable. Thanks.

I do love your setting fabric, perfect! Looking forward to seeing your tutorial and sharing with my quilt ministry buddies. I need to get them more interested in scrappy quilts and string piecing (guess what kind of fabrics we have most of!).

I've been looking for a pattern to use up some scrap fabric before it overwhelms me. Will have to come back tomorrow for sure. Thank you for hosting the link party.@fortheloveofgeese
