I started these scrappy rail blocks back in January. At least that is the first time I found them on my blog. They have been a project I’ve worked on off and on. I really have a hard time making the same block over and over again. My attention span can be a bit short.
The layout came to me over time. I had toyed with alternating the grays in stripes. I didn’t care for that. One day the idea to gradually go from light to dark came. I’m pretty pleased with the result. Now to get it basted and figure out quilting.
Now my favorite thing about Mondays, getting to see what you’ve been moving forward.
Link up and let us see your progress. Big or little it’s progress and that counts.
That is really neat – its so graphical!
This is gorgeous! The colors shimmer against the grays.
Great use of scraps! Wonderful quilt!
I have the same problem making a block over and over again.
Nice finish. I like it! (And, I must admit I'm impressed with how fast you got this done. I'd have gotten bored and put it in with my UFOs and not looked at it again for a year or so!) Great job getting it finished.
it looks great! nothing for me to link up to today I was lazy this weekend and the sewing room rested
I think your layout is perfect. Such an interesting assortment of color.
I love this Em! The color gradation is fabulous.
It came out beautifully! I love the different grays and I am a sucker for any scrap quilt!
Your quilt is incredible! And this from someone who usually prefers traditional designs. The greys really make the colors stand out, but at the same time softens them. I really love it.
