Moving It Forward

I’m slowly making progress on my scrappy rail blocks.

I’ve been feeding them through my machine as leaders and enders.

I figure I’m just over half way. I have around 25 of each.  I need forty of each to get the size quilt I want to create.

How that will come together is still evolving in my mind. Something that will involve a gradation of the grays from top to bottom I’m thinking.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Did you take advantage of Craftsy’s free stream of videos? I sure did.  Were you able to get a little sewing in?

Link up and share what you were able to move forward. We would love to celebrate your progress, and be inspired by your work.

Your scrappy rail blocks look fun. I'm curious — is this something you're making up as you go along, or do you already have a plan for how you'll use these blocks?

That looks like a great use of scraps.

Love those blocks- great idea for my ever growing scrap pile. I've made 8 or9 scrap quilts- big ones- and my scraps are still growing!!! I'm even throwing away small squares!

Even if we don't have a perfect idea in mind for scrap blocks, getting to this point means they be easy to incorporate somewhere. Central blocks or borders, etc. Your scrappy rail blocks look great. I'm curious if you'll use the black, grey and white all in the same quilt, and how now.
