Pincushions are fun little projects. I like that they are fairly quick. Fun, fast finishes, what’s not to love. Plus the fact that they make a great little gift for your sewing friends. Heck, for any friend now that many are using them in bowls for decorations. So when I was given the opportunity to be part of the Pinwheel Pincushion Remix for Fat Quarter Shop I jumped at the chance.
I picked four fun fabrics, Spotted by Zen Chic. Watch for more with this fabric line. I absolutely adore it! Here’s a little sneak peek of my progress. Thursday I’ll give the official reveal.
What projects are you working on? Are they big or little. Fast finishes or ones that will take years? Link up and let us celebrate what you’re moving forward.
I put these 3d pinwheels in a couple quilt. They were so quick and fun to make.

As cute as fabric pincushions are, in everyday life I use the heavy plastic magnetic kind. (I have one at the cutting table, one at the sewing machine, and one at the design wall.) I also have a magnetic bowl with a magnetized bottom that's great for safety pins when I'm machine-quilting.
It's going to be a beautiful pincushion!
Cute project!
