I had a little fun last week. First I dove into my solids bin and pulled lots of bright happy solids out. Something about my solids bin makes me feel like a kid with a new box of crayons. All that pretty color creates a world of possibilities.
Look how cute these little four patches are. I could make these all day. They are just so fun.
I tried some square in a square blocks. I like them with the white background but I think next time I might try a black or navy.
Finally I made a few diamond blocks. What will become of this play. That is a good question. Once again the possibilities are endless.
While I figure that out let’s see what you are moving forward. Link up and share your progress.
Ooo la la, I love those bright colors and I especially like the white background on the sns blocks. Coming from someone who likes a white background. Thank you for the linky party. Denise-For the love of geese
oooh very nice…i love solids too…and you are right…it's fabric crayons!
you have quite a few you are working on and I like them all – I have been organizing but took time out from it last night to quilt more on my propellers as I want to keep on moving i forward!
Gorgeous! I really need to use more solids!
Loving the solids!
For some reason I rarely buy solids but it looks like I should change that!
Doesn't it feel DECADENT to just start cutting into fabric and sewing things together with no plan?! Those little blocks or units or whatever they end up being are delightful, and it sounds like you had fun making them so they don't even need to be anything at all.
Your blocks look so lovely – I am looking forward to seeing what you make of them!
