Thank you to everyone who offered advice on the t-shirt quilt. After rearranging and adding the extra t-shirt and five 6″ filler blocks I have a 60″ x 72″ quilt. I’m pretty pleased with the results. And thrilled that it will be big enough not only for his wife but for either of his sons.
I hope as they snuggle it will be comforting and bring back happy memories of their husband and dad.

What a very thoughtful project this is. I think it was a great idea and a great gift to others especially as hard as it is to work with stretchy fabric.
