Moving It Forward wonky stars & roses

The most important and exciting thing moving forward this week is that my baby begins her college career today. How did that happen?  I remember walking her to kindergarten just the other day. So many feeling associated with this momentous occasion.

As far as quilting goes, in spare moments I added to my wonk maverick stars.  I auditioned a few mini stars but I think I will be nixing that idea. Maybe I’ll make a mini version with the minis. It might make a cute wall hanging. I only have five more of the larger squares to make a good sized child’s quilt.

In addition to making maverick stars I had a fun time with my first Free Spirit Class at K &H Quilt Shoppe.

The ladies did a beautiful job making their roses. I’m really looking forward to this year long venture. You can find the pattern in my Crumb Quilts Book.

I also had a great time attending Neon Circus, a Brooks & Dunn cover band concert, with some girlfriends. Oh what a night! We rocked it and spent the night dancing to their great music.

I’m excited to see how your week moved forward. Be sure to share your progress on the Facebook page. Can’t wait to see.
