I’ve doubled my pineapple block population. It’s a slow process and I don’t know how much of a dent it is putting in my bin. But they make me oh so happy!
Coming home from our little spontaneous get away found me with lots of fresh produce; peaches, tomatoes, and zucchini. My hubby was suppose to check on the zucchini while I was gone. I didn’t want to end up with boat sized zucchini. He forgot and I had four boat sized zucchini. One became bread, two when to my youngest son, (thank goodness it’s his favorite veggie) and one sadly went in the compost. When my boys were little and this happened I would let them carve them into boats and float them in the wading pool.
The tomatoes became salsa and the peaches are canned and ready for yummy winter eating.

I always admire pineapple blocks, but shy away from the work. Yours are lovely.

Oh they are so pretty! and hopefully the scraps aren't multiplying when your not looking. And Yay for the canning!!

I want to make a pineapple quilt someday. Your blocks are looking so nice. I love my chickens! Anything that is oversized gets fed to them, they love the produce scraps. I don't can peaches anymore, I freeze them and put them in gallon freezer bags. So much easier than canning.

Love that pineapple–coming so well…I have some paper piecing papers to make a giant pineapple block languishing in my bottom drawer…this makes me want to start one…hugs, Julierose

Yes, those zucchini grow right in front of your eyes. I just had two boat that were hidden from sight. lol
