I didn’t get a lot of sewing done last week. I spent most of my week enjoying family down south. I’ll share more of that later. Prior to our big adventure I finished sewing up these leftovers from my Portals quilt. This quilt features Janet Clair’s Ahoy Me Hearties. I thought I had more blocks that I did. I was hoping to make at least a 60″ x 70″ quilt.
Because it will be a man quilt I knew it had to be long enough so I rearranged the blocks to make it 70″ long.
Next I pulled some scraps from my bins to make the missing two blocks. Cut some strips to add to the width. I think with these adjustments I’ll have a nice sized man quilt.
Now on to the fun. My sister and her four children, my sister in law and her four children and me and my daughter all headed down to my parents last week. We had tons of fun climbing red rock.
We did our first slot canyon. And played in grandma and grandpa’s pool. The weather was perfect and we had tons of fun.
Hope everyone had a fun week. I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been moving forward. Link up and share.
