Back in October I posted about this quilt. The sad thing was that I didn’t have the quilt. I had forgotten to take a picture before I sent it off to Fon’s and Porter. Well, it came home this last week. YEA!!! It brought back happy memories as I remember working on it last year while I was at Bryce. Since I had just returned from another fun week at Bryce all those fun times were renewed for me. Isn’t it wonderful how that works?!
I tried something new when I quilted it. I had never done loopied loos but since the name of the quilt was Play Ball I thought they were a nice fit. I worried that I could be somewhat consistent in their shape. Miraculously I didn’t do too bad. I think this is a design I will revisit in the future.
This was a fun make. It is layer cake friendly so not a lot of cutting. A big bonus in my book. I used a fat quarter of Well Said by Sandy Gervais. You can find it and other great fat quarters at the Fat Quarter Shop. The patter is in the September/October issue of Quilting Quickly. If you can’t find the issue you can download the pattern here.
wonderful quilt
I saw it in my magazine. It is a wonderful scrap quilt.
