Quilt As You Go String Quilt

You may remember I recently purchased a long arm. In the workshop I took to learn how to use it. We created a quilt as you go pillow. I thought it would be fun to expand on that method.

Because my strip bin was full. I decided to create rows from them. You may remember my messing bin and beginning rows from last week. Once I sewed up enough rows for a 65″ x 75″ quilt. I find this size to be a nice gift. I loaded a back and batting on my long arm. Then began sewing the rows on quilt as you go style.

Once I got all the rows sewn together. I went back and did a little fill quilting. Now I just need to add a binding. Who knows? Maybe I’ll have a finished quilt to share soon.

In the mean time I want to see what you are moving forward. Tell me in the comments or share a pictures in the group Facebook page. I can’t tell you how much I’ve had seeing your projects. We sure have some very talented people in our group.
