I’m so happy to be able to share a finished Rhythm & Blues with you. I’m thrilled with the results as is the drummer boy. I showed it to him this weekend when he came to work on his car in my garage.
I originally had thought I would just quilt wavy organic lines through it. But when it came to choosing a thread that would work with the blues and white I had problems. So when I found flowing water and ice onLori Kennedy’s site I knew I was onto something. Not only could I change the thread for the different areas I felt it went with the quilt, and was not to feminine for the drummer boy.
I’ve made this into a pattern. It is layer cake friendly, and goes together quickly thanks to strip piecing and a little trick with a 10″ square.
You can find the pattern in my Etsy shop.
