This quilts started out as a solution to use up some random strips in more muted colors. I don’t use a lot of these colors. Yet once in a while the bin somehow gets full. I guess it’s true what they say about scraps multiplying.
Ruth quilted it for me.
My neighbor, Sherry, bond it.
I found out recently that my other neighbor’s father had cancer. I felt this was a masculine enough quilt that it would feel at home there. They were thrilled. Glad it found a good home. Hope it brings lots of comfort and hopefully a little healing.
Absolutely love this quilt! Indeed, this is a perfect masculine design — prayers for your neighbor's father.
This is a beautiful quilt! A wonderful gift for a man in need.
This is charming and inspiring! I love log cabins.
It will surely be a comfort to your neighbor.
with the colors and the fabrics – it just looks like it will be cozy and comforting for someone that needs it.
A pretty mix of colors, and I'm sure it will be treasured!

I am glad you were able to find a good home for this quilt. I definitely has a more masculine feel to it. It was definitely a great way to use up some scraps.
It is a great design and perfect for a man. I hope he finds comfort when he uses it.
Sometimes a quilt knows what it wants. In this case, the quilt wanted to be a comfort for your neighbor. There's no doubt that he will enjoy it and find comfort in it. It's beautiful, oops no, it's handsome and perfect.
I agree with Mary. This quilt, made from scraps that surprised you with their proliferation, appeared just as the right person needed it. Isn't it amazing how that works? Congrats on a lovely, meaningful finish.
I have always loved scrappy quilts like this one. Makes me want to dive in my scrap bins and start a new quilt. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
I love a good scrappy and yours is no exception. Well done.
It is a great scrappy quilt. Masculine quilts are a bit tougher to make, I find. This one is perfect!
I love this quilt. I have lots of scraps leftover from another quilt I made mostly in the form of strips. I am in process of figuring out how I want to attack it. This looks like a great solution!
