Another great scrap buster is the x and + quilt. I made this one a few years back. I call it Three Red Hot Kisses. You can’t see them all here but there are three red Xes in there. I had a lot of fun making it.
In my photo stream on Pinterest I saw a bunch I liked. This is one of them. I liked the way Janetplayed with color. Making it more of a controlled scrappy look. I just love how the warm pluses pop and the cool Xes make a nice lattice look.

All the bright colors in Carol’s quilt. There is just so many interesting fabrics and colors to look at.

I made a pre-cut friendly tutorial for this scrapbusting quilt a few years ago. I did it because I had a lot of partial layer cake and charm pack squares. Does this happen to you? If so and you are looking for a home for them you might want to give it a try.
Great quilts! The x and + quilt that I made is still one of my favorites. I love all of the scrappiness of them.
Lovely!
Beautiful quilts – everyone did a great job with this pattern!
So pretty!
I love X+ quilts. I made one long ago from my cherry themed fabrics and it's one of my favs. I might have to try another one. Thanks for the tutorial.
