What do I do With All this Scrap

You don’t have to read this blog long to discover my love of scraps.

I love the tiniest bits. I even have a special home for them. I call it my bits bin. Delving into it is one of my greatest joys. Finding homes for those itty bitty pieces is so fulfilling.

In addition to my bits bin I have bins of strips. I have three of these bins; one for 1 1/2″ strips, one for 2 1/2″ strips,

and one for random width strips.

Along with the bits bin and strips bins I have scrap bins sorted according to color; red, yellow, orange, navy, aqua, green, black/gray, purple/pink, and brown. These bins contain anything bigger than a charm square but smaller than a fat quarter.

Whenever a bin gets so full the lid can no longer be put on I make a quilt using that bin.

For the next little while I thought it would be fun on Wednesdays to share quilts that have come from the various bins. Maybe share a little process on how they came to be. And maybe add a few more with tutorials along they way. Would this be helpful to you? What are your thoughts?
