I’m so thankful the world is opening up again. Covid really through us for a loop. I’m sure I’m not the only one who did a little boohooing over all that happened. Isolation, social unrest, sickness and loss hit us all. So it’s been nice to gather again. I’ve enjoyed having my children visit. Being able to worship and draw strength at church. And recently to be able to share my love of scrap quilting in person through workshops, classes and trunk shows.
I find quilters so inclusive. They are generous and kind. Being able to meet with them again has fed my soul. In the last few weeks I’ve enjoyed teaching majestic mountain possibilities with one local quilt group. Watching them turn there blocks into a Dahlia or Rhythm and Blues quilt was rewarding.
In addition to teaching I’ve been able to share my quilts in a couple of trunk shows. It’s always fun to tell the stories behind the creation of my quilts. Sharing where I’ve gotten my inspiration and any hiccups that may have happened along the way.
I had fun teaching my Jumbo Scrappy Star workshop. I’m loving seeing everyone’s quilt come together. I’ll be teaching this again at the Winter and Spring retreats at Bryce. In addition I’ll be teaching my Love Pillow doing a trunk show I hope you’ll join me. See where else I’m teaching. Or contact me to schedule a class, workshop or trunk show for your group.
