Baby Quilt Pattern with Giveaway

Isn’t a baby quilt so fun to make and give? They are usually quick and easy. Plus if you let the new parents know you want it used. (Sometimes new moms worry about ruining the beautiful quilt you’ve created for their sweet baby.) Putting that momma’s mind at ease ensures your quilt is used and loved. Isn’t that why you made the quilt in the first place? Nothing is sweeter than a well loved baby quilt.

Being a mother of three boys I know how hard it can be to find good baby boy items. With that in mind I created Starling. It features the fabric line Animal Crackers by Sweetwater. You can find it and other great fabrics at the Fat Quarter Shop. I started with a large star. Framed it. Then set it on point. Finished it off with radiating triangles. Switching up the fabrics you could easily make it for a girl.

Either way it’s a great quilt for that new bundle of joy. The pattern can be found in the July/August issue of Love of Quilting. In fact, I’ve got a free copy for one lucky reader. To be entered to win just leave a comment below telling me if and how many baby quilts you made this year. Good luck! I’ll pick a winner Friday.
