I first experimented with a wonky frame around my blocks in my Yarn Bomb Trees quilt. It was a fun way to put things off kilter. My rebel self finds joy in doing this.

It is also a good solutions for those bee or charity blocks that are not quite the same size. Just add the frame and square up to the desired size. No one will be able to tell that the original blocks were not the same size. But you’ll be able to sew them together easily. No stretching or easing involved.

Adding a wonky boarder to any block can add interest and movement to your quilts. Learn my easy no waste method in my latest YouTube video.
Just a quick note to say Hi….and thank you!
It was at timely reminder of a favorite block. Just what I needed for an eye spy quilt.
I love how you took the drama out of the block….lol
If using a print, should the fabric be right sides together?
No, Have both fabric facing the same way.
