Quick and Easy Quilts With Pre-Cuts

Do you love jellyrolls, charm squares and layer cakes?  I do!  Making quilts with pre cuts is a quick and easy way to make a great quilt.  You know the fabric matches.  Most of the cutting has been done.  You know I find cutting the necessary evil of quilting.   So pre cuts are a great way to minimalize that step.

In addition to scrap quilts pre cut quilts are one of my favorite ways to make a quilt.  In fact every time I’ve made a pre cut quilt I intentionally give it a scrappy feel.  I’ve also found that there are times that I have leftovers from my pre cuts.  Allowing me to add them to my scrap bins.  So they can play with all my pretty leftovers.  If you’re looking for tutorials that use precuts.  Then check out this post it has 5 fun and easy tutorials for layer cake and charm squares as well as jelly rolls.

Want to save money when buying pre-cuts?   Be sure to check out Fat Quarter Shop’s Daily Flash Sale.  They often have great prices on pre cuts.  Or Missouri Star also has a daily deal.  Plus you can often find pre cuts on their sales page.

Many of my patterns are designed to work well with either pre cuts or scraps.  They have been some of my best sellers.  To make it even easier for you.  I’ve begun to put together kits.  The prepackaged kits include all the fabric for the top, the binding and pattern.  Making it even easier for you to put your quilt together.  Buy one today for your next project

Love both of the X quilts. They’re such great examples of scrap quilts.

I’d also like to recommend Green Fairy Quilts in Utah for Moda precuts (only Moda). They are a family run business that always sells Moda below retail and if you provide your email they will send you additional info about sales. Their scrap bags are a good deal too. You basically get a jelly roll that’s cut with the selvage still on. They have Daily Deals too if you check their site.
