Homemade Gift Giving Ideas

Are you looking for homemade gift giving ideas? It is that time of year after all. With Covid-19 still running rampant you may not want to be out and about shopping. And while my daughter thinks I’m addicted to Amazon, I do enjoy making and giving homemade gifts. Thinking about the recipient as I create warms my heart. Seeing their reaction when they receive it brings me joy.

Zipper pouch ideas

First up a zipper pouch can make a great gift. Personalize it with fabric that fits the recipients personality and taste. Then fill it with fun little treasures that do the same. For an artist you could fill it with colored pencils. Not only will they receive a refresh of their favorite art supply. They will also have a place to store and transport that art supply. I share how I made this zipper pouch for my daughter to keep her colored pencils here.

You could create a zipper pouch for your quilting buddies and fill it with sewing notions. I’ve also made mini zipper pouches for the young women at my church. I added a pocket for their driver’s license. The zipper compartment kept their money and sanitary supplies safe and out of site.. I even added a key ring to the zipper for their keys. As you can see a zipper pouch is an easy, quick and versatile gift.
