After a rough start this week has turned out pretty great. Having my mind at ease helped me to concentrate. So I could bust out the rest of my Color Me Creative basic sewing kit. I now have a new journal, (tutorial) zipper pouch, (tutorial) sewing mat, (tutorial) needle case, and pin cushion. I’m looking forward to using them at my next retreat in a few weeks.
Though Wednesday the pin cushion and sewing mat got a test drive. I had six, 12- 13 year old girls show up and help me sew another Quilty Hug. You may remember the pieces I had cut out Monday. Each girl sewed at least one row in this cute little quilt. Didn’t they do a lovely job? This is a free tutorial in case you want to make one yourself.
In addition to helping me sew they brought me my favorite treats. Yum! It was such a fun night. I hope we will be able to do it again.
This weekend Anna and I will be at the farmer’s market. I’m stocked with pumpkin spice for the cooling fall weather. I was a little late getting our Spiced Cider made. It will have to wait until next market. Watch for it and all our other great skin loving soaps in our Etsy Shop.
They did a great job. I love that sewing set!
Super cute!
Great accessories! Thanks for the link to the sewing mat, I have needed a new one for a long time, hopefully one day soon!
Awesome that you are teaching young gals to make a quilt:)
Love your little sewing mat and accessories! I've been meaning to make a mat and needle book for myself for some time. I keep putting it off in lieu of other projects. I need to at least make a sewing machine cover soon. I like your color combination, especially that grey background.
